SEEDS
(Self-Employment & Entrepreneurial Development System)

The SEEDS Program has two goals: (1) place and (2) to reduce the welfare rolls by increasing income and job opportunities. SEEDS offers business management services to a low-income individual starting their own business. This includes training, methods of finance and loan packaging and ongoing technical assistance in the first year of operation.

Low-Income individuals must meet the federal poverty guideline based upon family size. All loans must be repaid. Many loans are with financing from conventional banks as well as SEEDS funds.
