Day
Care Homes cannot charge separate fees for meals. Higher payments (Tier1)
are paid to homes in low-income areas and to low-income providers. Meals
and snacks served to children who eligible for free and reduced-price
school meals also receive higher rates of reimbursement. All children are served the same meal at no separate charge regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, and there is no discrimination in the course of food service. Great
